What does a strong data analyst change?
Most companies have more data than analysis. A dedicated analyst owns SQL, the reporting layer and the actual questions leadership asks — highly asynchronous work with a large, strong offshore bench in India, the Philippines and Vietnam.

What they own
- Answer business questions with SQL and clear analysis
- Build and maintain dashboards people actually use
- Investigate data quality issues and fix reporting logic
- Run funnel, cohort and retention analysis
- Present findings with a recommendation, not just a chart
What skills should a data analyst have?

How your data analyst learns to work with AI
An analysis is only useful if the numbers behind it hold up. Training shows your data analyst how to use AI to clean data, explore vague business questions and draft summaries, with every figure in a finding traced back to the underlying query or spreadsheet.
Cleaning messy exports
Use AI to write SQL or pandas steps that standardise dates, remove duplicates and fix inconsistent categories in a practice CRM and billing export.
Row counts and totals are compared before and after each step, and every removed or changed record is logged for review.
Exploring a vague business question
Break a question such as why revenue dipped last month into testable hypotheses with AI, then write cohort, funnel or segment queries against practice data.
Each query result is checked against dashboard or source totals, and assumptions are written down before any conclusion is drawn.
Drafting findings for leadership
Draft a one-page summary with a recommendation, key charts and caveats from a completed practice analysis, written for a non-technical reader.
Every number in the summary is traced back to a query or cell, and claims the data cannot support are cut before it is shared.
Given a practice dataset with duplicates, a broken join and the question of why trial conversions fell, they clean the data, answer the question with AI assistance and present a short summary with every figure sourced.
Available once your team member starts, scheduled when it suits you. No additional training fee.

Interviewing a data analyst.
Give them a vague question
"Why did revenue dip last month?" A good analyst clarifies the question, states assumptions and returns a short answer with the caveats. A weak one returns a dashboard.
Work sample beats CV claims
Sprint Labs screens every data analyst on a short, realistic task drawn from the work you actually need done, then sends you the output alongside the CV. You see the standard before you spend an interview slot on it.
English and communication are scored
Written and spoken English is assessed and you get a voice recording before you interview, so you know how this person will land in a client call, a Slack thread or a handover note.
Add AI accent conversion for $1/hour per user.
If the role spends time on the phone, our AI accent conversion neutralises accent in real time so every call lands clearly with your customers — without losing the person behind the voice.
Real-time neutralisation
Accent is softened live on the call, with latency low enough that the conversation still feels natural.
Their voice, preserved
Tone, pace, warmth and intent stay theirs. It is your actual team member on the line, just easier to follow.
Your existing phone system
Layers over the softphone or dialler you already run. No porting, no new platform, nothing to retrain.

Questions about hiring an offshore data analyst.
How much does an offshore data analyst cost?
Around USD 1,750–2,550 per month all-in at mid-level and USD 2,550–3,800 for a senior analyst — against USD 90K–130K+ for the local equivalent.
Data analyst or data engineer?
Analyst if the pipelines mostly exist and the gap is insight. Data engineer if the data is not reliably landing anywhere yet. Teams often hire the analyst first and let the pain justify the engineer.
What AI skills will my data analyst learn?
Your data analyst learns to use AI to clean messy data, break vague business questions into testable analysis and draft summaries for leadership. Every figure is traced back to the underlying query or spreadsheet before it is shared. Practice uses synthetic data, and real client data is used only inside the systems and tools your business authorises.
Do I need a local entity to hire a data analyst offshore?
No. You sign a Master Services Agreement and Work Order with Sprint Labs, and Sprint Labs engages the data analyst as an independent contractor. We handle contracts, fees and payments, engagement support and one monthly invoice. You direct the work day-to-day exactly as you would an in-house hire.
How long does it take to hire a data analyst through Sprint Labs?
Most briefs produce a named, vetted shortlist within 5–10 business days. From there you interview, choose, and we handle the offer, contract and onboarding — typical brief-to-start is three to five weeks depending on the candidate's notice period.
What happens if the hire is not the right fit?
Tell us within the first 30 days and we replace them at our cost. After that, engagements carry a 60-day cancellation notice, which protects the contractor and gives you time to hand over work, but if you want to swap rather than offboard, we run a replacement search in parallel at no additional recruitment cost.
Is AI training included with this placement?
Yes. Once your team member starts, they can enrol in role-specific AI training with no additional training fee. You choose when they enrol, and the self-paced modules run during their normal working hours.
Can the training align with our tools and AI policies?
Yes. The course teaches general skills on practice material, and how your team member applies them depends on the tools, access and AI policy your business approves. If certain work must stay AI-free, they follow your rules. Third-party software subscriptions aren't included and are agreed during onboarding.
