    Construction, Trades & Engineering

More drawings out the door, without more desks.

Builders, engineering consultancies, fabricators and trade businesses use Sprint Labs to staff drafting, BIM, take-offs, estimating and project coordination — inside your CAD standards and your document control.

    In short

What does offshore construction, trades & engineering staffing actually get you?

Sprint Labs employs offshore drafters, BIM technicians, estimators and project coordinators who work inside your CAD environment and document-control system — AutoCAD, Revit, Procore, Bluebeam — under your title blocks and QA process, on a real employment contract. Design certification and site supervision stay with your locally registered engineer; the offshore team produces and supports the documentation and take-offs that otherwise bottleneck delivery. Overlapping hours mean mark-ups sent late in your day can come back drafted before your team is back online.

    How we work here

Building your construction, trades & engineering team with Sprint Labs.

We recruit technically trained drafters and engineers experienced in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Bluebeam, PlanSwift and Procore, then embed them in your delivery workflow.

They follow your title blocks, layer standards and QA process, and work hours that overlap your site and office team.

    Why it works

Why do teams in this sector offshore in the first place?

    Documentation throughput

Drafting and detailing is the bottleneck on most projects. Dedicated offshore drafters keep documentation moving while your engineers stay on design decisions.

    Bid more work

Take-offs and estimating capacity means you can price more tenders without pulling your estimator off live jobs.

    Overnight turnaround

Mark-ups sent at 5pm can come back drafted before your team logs on, depending on the country and shift you choose.

Cost structure that survives a quiet quarter

Employed offshore capacity costs materially less per seat than a local hire, so you can hold a trained team through the cycle.

    Roles

    Good to know

    Tooling and file access

Staff work on your licences and your document management system — BIM 360, Procore, SharePoint, Aconex — under your access policy. We supply hardware suitable for CAD workloads as part of the seat cost.

    FAQ

What do buyers ask about offshore drafting and engineering support?

Do they know local codes and standards?

Many candidates have worked to AS/NZS, Eurocode or US standards through prior offshore engagements, and we screen for it. Design responsibility and certification stay with your registered local engineer — offshore staff produce and support the documentation.

Can they run the software licences we already pay for?

Yes. They use your named licences and your environment. If you'd rather they hold their own, tell us in the request and we'll price it into the seat.

What can be estimated or drafted offshore, and what can't?

Take-offs, quantity schedules, tender documentation, shop-drawing markup, BIM modelling and RFI administration all work offshore. Site supervision, statutory inspections and anything requiring a locally registered engineer's certification stay with your licensed local staff.

Can drafters work in our model and file structure?

Yes. Staff work inside your Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or Tekla environment through your common data environment — ACC, BIM 360, Procore or SharePoint — following your naming, layer and revision standards.

How do you handle drawing file sizes and remote CAD performance?

Heavy modelling runs on a remote workstation or virtual desktop you control, so large models never leave your environment and staff work at the same performance as a local seat.

Are Sprint Labs construction & engineering staff employees or contractors?

Employees. Sprint Labs is the legal employer in-market — we run local payroll, statutory benefits and leave, and hold the employment contract, including confidentiality and IP-assignment clauses that flow through to you. You direct the work day to day.

    How are they billed?

One flat monthly seat cost per person, in your billing currency, with the FX rate fixed at quote. It covers salary, statutory benefits, local payroll, HR support and our employer margin. No recruitment fee and no percentage-of-salary model. Engagements carry a 60-day cancellation notice.
