Hire offshore developers who work like part of your team.
Sprint Labs helps companies in Australia, the United States, New Zealand, Canada and the UK hire offshore developers across Asia — vetted, employed by us, and directed day to day by you.
Full-stack, front-end, back-end, mobile, DevOps, QA, data, security and AI engineers. You interview and choose. We handle the employment contract, the local payroll, the benefits and the compliance.

Hire offshore developers who work like part of your team.: the short answer
Hiring an offshore developer through Sprint Labs costs roughly USD 2,000–3,600 per month all-in at mid-level and USD 3,200–5,600 at senior level, depending on the market and specialism. That is one flat figure covering salary, statutory benefits, local payroll, hardware, HR support and our employer margin — there is no recruitment or placement fee. A clear brief produces a named shortlist within 5–10 business days, and typical brief-to-start is three to five weeks.

Real, dedicated people — not a rotating vendor bench.
Every hire is interviewed for your brief, employed in-region and stays on your team long term.

Same tools, same rituals, overlapping hours.
Your offshore team joins your standups and boards directly, so day-to-day collaboration feels local.
What hiring an offshore developer actually looks like here.
"Offshore development" gets used for four very different things — freelancers, marketplaces, dev shops and managed staffing. Sprint Labs is the last one, and the difference matters most on month nine, not week one.
You direct the engineer, we do not run the project
There is no delivery manager between you and the person writing code. The engineer joins your standups, picks up tickets from your board and is reviewed by your leads. If you want a managed squad with a delivery lead instead, that is a different service and priced differently.
Seniority is tested, not self-declared
Every engineer completes a practical exercise in the stack they claim, plus a live technical conversation, before you see them. Titles inflate quickly across offshore markets, so we grade against what the person can actually build and hand you the written assessment with the shortlist.
Your repository, your controls
Engineers work in your version control, your CI and your cloud accounts, with access you grant and can revoke. Nothing is developed on a vendor's infrastructure and handed over later, so there is no IP hand-back problem if the engagement ends.
One engineer, or a bench that grows
Most engineering engagements start with one hire and add seats as the roadmap firms up. Additional engineers join your existing agreement and appear on the same monthly invoice, prorated from their start date.
What offshore developers cost, USD per month.
Indicative fully-loaded seat cost by market, covering salary, statutory benefits, local payroll, hardware, HR support and Sprint Labs' employer overhead. Specialist roles — DevOps, security, LLM engineering — sit at the top of each band. Your exact quote is generated in-app against your brief.
Quoted in USD, invoiced in your currency — Australian and US customers are billed in AUD or USD at a rate fixed when the quote is accepted.
How long does it take to go from brief to first day?
Brief the role in-app, get a named and vetted shortlist in 5–10 business days, interview the people you like, and we handle the offer, the contract, the local payroll and the onboarding. One flat monthly invoice in your own currency, 60-day cancellation notice, no placement fee.
Brief the role
Tell us the responsibilities, seniority, tools and hours you need. Ten minutes in-app, or a call if you'd rather talk it through.
Shortlist in 5–10 days
Named, vetted candidates with CVs, prior work, our assessment notes and a voice recording so you hear their English before you commit an hour.
You interview and choose
Run your own interviews and working sessions. Nobody joins your team without your decision.
We employ and onboard
Employment agreement, local-currency payroll, statutory benefits, hardware and HR support — all ours. You get one flat monthly invoice in your own currency.
How do I cover Australian and US time zones with one team?
Our recruiting markets sit in the GMT+7 to GMT+8 band, which is what makes covering Australia and the United States from one team practical. A Manila or Ho Chi Minh City hire covers a standard 9am–6pm AEST day almost exactly, with an hour or two of offset. For US teams the same person can work an evening shift that lands on US Pacific and Eastern mornings, or an early shift that gives you completed work waiting when you log on. Shift patterns — including any night differential local law requires — are agreed in the Work Order and priced into the monthly seat cost, so there are no surprise loadings later.

Questions about hiring offshore developers.
How much does it cost to hire an offshore developer?
Through Sprint Labs, a mid-level offshore developer costs roughly USD 2,000–3,600 per month all-in and a senior developer USD 3,200–5,600, depending on market and specialism. That single figure covers salary, statutory benefits, local payroll, hardware, HR support and our employer margin. There is no separate recruitment or placement fee, and the rate is fixed in your currency when you accept the quote.
How long does it take to hire offshore developers?
A clear brief usually produces a named, vetted shortlist within 5–10 business days. Brief-to-start is typically three to five weeks, driven mostly by the candidate's notice period in their current job. Scarce specialisms — security, LLM engineering, senior DevOps — take three to six weeks to shortlist.
Where do Sprint Labs developers work from?
Primarily the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, India and Malaysia. Which market suits you depends on the role: Vietnam and India have the deepest senior engineering benches, the Philippines leads on English-first communication and support-adjacent engineering, and Indonesia and Malaysia are strong mid-market options.
Can I interview the developers before hiring?
Yes, and you should. You get a named shortlist with CVs, prior work, our internal assessment notes and a voice recording, then you run your own interviews and technical sessions. Nobody is assigned to you without your decision.
Who owns the code and the intellectual property?
You do. IP assignment sits in the Master Services Agreement and is mirrored in each engineer's employment agreement with Sprint Labs, and all work happens in your repositories and cloud accounts rather than ours.
What if an engineer is not the right fit?
Tell us within the first 30 days and we replace them at our cost. After that we run a replacement search at no additional recruitment cost, in parallel with the current engineer's handover so your roadmap does not stall.
How do you assess technical skill before shortlisting?
A practical exercise in the candidate's claimed stack, a live technical conversation with an engineer, a review of prior production work where they can share it, and reference checks. You receive the written assessment and a short voice recording with the shortlist. Our full process is set out on the vetting page.
Can I hire more than one developer, or a whole team?
Yes. Many engagements start with one hire and expand. Additional seats are added to your existing agreement and appear on the same monthly invoice, prorated from their start date. If you need a full squad with a lead, that is our project delivery squads service.
