Hire an offshore accountant or bookkeeper for your own team.

This is not outsourced accounting. You are hiring a qualified finance person who works only for your business — in your ledger, on your close, reporting to you — while Sprint Labs employs and payrolls them in-market.

Bookkeepers, accounts payable and receivable officers, payroll officers, management accountants and finance analysts, recruited across the Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and India.

    In short

Hire an offshore accountant or bookkeeper for your own team.: the short answer

An offshore bookkeeper costs roughly USD 1,000–1,800 per month all-in and a qualified accountant USD 1,800–3,200, with senior and management accountants up to USD 4,000. Most candidates are Xero, QuickBooks or MYOB experienced, and many have worked to Australian or US standards for accounting firms already. Shortlists in 5–10 business days.

    The team

Real, dedicated people — not a rotating vendor bench.

Every hire is interviewed for your brief, employed in-region and stays on your team long term.

    How you work together

Same tools, same rituals, overlapping hours.

Your offshore team joins your standups and boards directly, so day-to-day collaboration feels local.

    The model

You are hiring a person, not buying a service.

The distinction matters in finance more than anywhere else. Outsourced accounting sends your data to a vendor who processes it. Offshore staffing gives you a finance employee inside your own systems and controls.

Employed in-market, so finance staff stay

Sprint Labs is the legal employer: a real employment agreement, local-currency payroll, statutory benefits and leave. Finance roles suffer most from churn because the knowledge is procedural and undocumented, and employment is what keeps the person past the first close.

    Segregation of duties still works

An offshore finance seat sits inside your approval hierarchy, not beside it. Preparer and approver stay separate, bank authority stays with you, and the offshore person's limits are set in your own accounting software rather than negotiated with a vendor.

    Not an outsourced bookkeeping bureau

A bureau takes your source documents, processes them on its own system and returns a file. Here the person works in your ledger, to your chart of accounts and your close calendar, and answers to your controller — so the working papers and the audit trail are yours throughout.

    Your controls, your systems

The person works inside your accounting software under your access controls and your approval workflows. You decide what they can see and authorise. Nothing is processed in a black box on someone else's system, which is what makes this workable for regulated and audited businesses.

    Australia and the United States

How do I cover Australian and US time zones with one team?

Finance work is deadline-driven rather than meeting-driven, which makes it one of the easiest functions to run across time zones. A Manila-based accountant covers a standard Australian business day almost exactly, so month-end close, payroll cut-offs and approvals happen in real time. For US teams the same person can work an evening shift overlapping the US morning, or run an overnight cycle so reconciliations are done before you open the file. Shift patterns are agreed in the Work Order and priced into the monthly seat cost.

    FAQ

Questions about hiring an offshore accountant.

How much does offshore accounting support cost per month?

Roughly USD 1,800–3,200 per month all-in for a qualified accountant and USD 1,000–1,800 for a bookkeeper, depending on market and seniority. That is one flat monthly seat cost covering salary, statutory benefits, local payroll, hardware, HR support and our employer margin, with no recruitment or placement fee.

    Is this outsourced accounting?

No. We do not provide accounting services and we do not take work in. We recruit and employ a finance person who works exclusively for your business inside your own accounting system, under your controls, reporting to you. Sprint Labs is the legal employer; the work and the data stay yours.

What accounting software do your candidates know?

Xero, QuickBooks Online, MYOB, NetSuite and Sage are the most common, along with Excel and Google Sheets to a high standard. Many Philippine candidates have worked for Australian accounting firms and know AU payroll, BAS and superannuation conventions; others have US GAAP and US payroll exposure. Specify what you run and we screen for it.

    Are candidates qualified accountants?

It depends on the level you brief. Bookkeepers and AP/AR officers are typically diploma-qualified with several years of practice experience. For accountant and management accountant roles we recruit CPA, ACCA or local-equivalent qualified candidates, and verify the qualification during reference checks.

How do we keep financial data secure?

The person works inside your systems with access you grant and can revoke, rather than exporting data to a third-party platform. Their employment agreement with Sprint Labs includes confidentiality obligations, and you can apply the same approval limits, segregation of duties and audit logging you would use for an in-house hire.

Can they close the books to our deadline?

Yes. The close calendar, cut-offs and reporting deadlines go into the Work Order along with the shift pattern, so month-end and payroll dates are covered in your business hours rather than the day after.

What if the finance hire is not the right fit?

Within the first 30 days we replace them at our cost; after that a replacement search runs at no additional recruitment cost and overlaps the current person's handover, which matters more in finance than anywhere else. Engagements carry a 60-day cancellation notice.

Do we need an entity in their country?

No. Sprint Labs employs and payrolls the person locally and invoices you monthly in your own currency. The compliance detail behind that sits on our offshore staffing solutions page.
