Hire an offshore virtual assistant who stays for years, not months.

Most VA arrangements churn because the assistant is a freelancer juggling several clients. Sprint Labs employs your assistant full-time on a real contract with local benefits — so they build context in your business and stay in it.

General virtual assistants, executive assistants, admin and data support, inbox and calendar management, and back-office coordination — recruited mainly from the Philippines.

    In short

Hire an offshore virtual assistant who stays for years, not months.: the short answer

A full-time offshore virtual assistant through Sprint Labs costs roughly USD 1,000–1,700 per month all-in, and an experienced executive assistant USD 1,600–2,800. That covers salary, statutory benefits, local payroll, hardware, HR support and our employer margin, with no placement fee. Shortlists land in 5–10 business days.

    The team

Real, dedicated people — not a rotating vendor bench.

Every hire is interviewed for your brief, employed in-region and stays on your team long term.

    How you work together

Same tools, same rituals, overlapping hours.

Your offshore team joins your standups and boards directly, so day-to-day collaboration feels local.

    The model

Why an employed VA behaves differently to a freelance one.

The work is the same. The retention is not. Almost every complaint about virtual assistants — disappearing, splitting attention, no accountability — traces back to the employment arrangement rather than the person.

    Full-time and yours alone

Your assistant is not shared across three other clients and not billed by the hour. They work your full week on your priorities, which is why the small undocumented knowledge — how your invoices are coded, which clients get called back first — actually accumulates.

Employment is what stops the churn

A freelance VA leaves for the next rate bump because nothing holds them. An assistant employed by Sprint Labs has a contract, local-currency payroll, statutory benefits, leave and an HR team behind them, and typically stays for years rather than months.

There is cover when they are away

Annual leave and sick days are planned, handovers are written, and our HR team arranges cover for extended absence. A solo freelancer simply goes quiet, usually in the week you need them most.

Someone else manages the employment admin

No contracts to draft, no overseas payments to reconcile, no benefits to administer, no notice periods to negotiate. You brief the work and review the output; the employment overhead sits with us and arrives as one monthly line on your invoice.

    Australia and the United States

How do I cover Australian and US time zones with one team?

The Philippines sits at GMT+8, two to three hours behind eastern Australia, so an assistant there covers a standard AEST workday with almost no adjustment. For US businesses the common pattern is a night shift in Manila that maps to US Pacific or Eastern business hours, which local law compensates with a night differential — that is agreed in the Work Order and included in your monthly seat cost, so there is no separate loading on your invoice.

    FAQ

Questions about hiring an offshore virtual assistant.

What does a full-time offshore assistant cost per month?

Roughly USD 1,000–1,700 per month all-in for a full-time general virtual assistant, and USD 1,600–2,800 for an experienced executive assistant. That single monthly figure covers salary, statutory benefits, local payroll, hardware, HR support and our employer margin. There is no placement fee and no hourly billing.

Is the assistant dedicated to my business only?

Yes. Every seat is a full-time employee working only for you. We do not pool assistants across clients or share them between accounts, which is the main structural difference from a VA marketplace or agency.

What can an offshore virtual assistant actually do?

Inbox and calendar management, travel and meeting coordination, CRM and data entry, invoicing and expense admin, research and reporting, document preparation, social media scheduling, customer follow-up and first-line support. Specialised work — bookkeeping, marketing execution, support ticketing — is better briefed as its own role so we screen for that skill directly.

Can an offshore assistant cover my business hours?

Yes. Australian business hours are close to a normal day in Manila. US hours are covered with an evening or night shift, agreed up front in the Work Order with any statutory night differential already priced into your monthly cost.

What happens when my assistant takes leave?

Leave is planned in advance and handed over in writing, and our HR team arranges cover for extended or unplanned absence. That is the practical difference from a solo freelancer, who simply becomes unavailable.

How do I onboard an assistant remotely?

Give them access to your email, calendar and core tools, record a handful of short screen walkthroughs of recurring tasks, and run a daily fifteen-minute check-in for the first fortnight. Most assistants are running their recurring workload unsupervised inside three to four weeks.

What if the assistant is not the right fit?

Within the first 30 days we replace them at our cost. After that a replacement search runs at no additional recruitment cost, and engagements carry a 60-day cancellation notice so there is a proper handover rather than a sudden gap.
