    Why this role

What does a strong content writer change?

Content programmes fail on consistency, not talent. A full-time writer produces at a cadence freelancers cannot match, learns your product deeply, and gets better every month. The Philippines in particular has a deep bench of native-fluent English writers who have worked to Australian, UK and US style guides for years.

How your content writer learns to work with AI

Long-form content depends on good research, clear structure and accurate facts. Training shows your content writer how AI can help organise sources, shape outlines and tighten edits, while every claim, quote and statistic is still traced back to a real source.

    Organising research and SME interviews

Turn an interview transcript with an internal expert, product docs and a set of reference articles into a structured research summary with key points, quotes and open questions.

    How they check it

Every quote is matched to the transcript word for word, and each fact is linked to its original source before drafting starts.

Building outlines from the SEO brief

Draft a long-form article or guide outline that covers the queries, headings and internal links in the brief, with a clear angle for the reader.

    How they check it

The outline is compared line by line with the brief and the editor's notes, and gaps or invented sections are removed.

    Editing to your style guide

Run an edit pass on a draft or an underperforming older article to tighten structure, fix tone and apply your style guide and spelling rules.

    How they check it

Suggested edits are accepted one at a time, statistics and product claims are re-verified, and the final piece is approved under your editorial process.

    Practical assessment

Using a synthetic interview transcript, a practice brief and a set of sources with several planted inaccuracies, they produce an outline and a 600 word section, citing every claim and listing the AI-suggested facts they corrected or removed.

    How to evaluate

    Interviewing a content writer.

    01

    Commission one paid test piece

Give a real brief on a topic you know well and pay for the draft. You are reading for accuracy, structure and whether they sound like a person — not for word count.

    02

    Work sample beats CV claims

Sprint Labs screens every content writer on a short, realistic task drawn from the work you actually need done, then sends you the output alongside the CV. You see the standard before you spend an interview slot on it.

    03

    English and communication are scored

Written and spoken English is assessed and you get a voice recording before you interview, so you know how this person will land in a client call, a Slack thread or a handover note.

    Optional add-on

Add AI accent conversion for $1/hour per user.

If the role spends time on the phone, our AI accent conversion neutralises accent in real time so every call lands clearly with your customers — without losing the person behind the voice.

    Real-time neutralisation

Accent is softened live on the call, with latency low enough that the conversation still feels natural.

    Their voice, preserved

Tone, pace, warmth and intent stay theirs. It is your actual team member on the line, just easier to follow.

    Your existing phone system

Layers over the softphone or dialler you already run. No porting, no new platform, nothing to retrain.

    FAQ

Questions about hiring an offshore content writer.

How much does an offshore content writer cost?

Roughly USD 1,550–1,800 per month all-in at mid-level and USD 1,900–2,150 for a senior writer — for full-time, dedicated output rather than per-word freelance rates.

    Is the English native-standard?

For the writers we shortlist, yes. Every candidate is scored on written English and you see full unedited samples plus a voice recording before you interview. We do not put a writer in front of you whose drafts need rewriting.

What AI skills will my content writer learn?

Your content writer learns to use AI to organise research and interview notes, build outlines against the SEO brief and edit drafts to your style guide. Every quote, statistic and product claim is verified at the source, and content is published only after your editorial approval. Tool use depends on what your business approves.

Do I need a local entity to hire a content writer offshore?

No. You sign a Master Services Agreement and Work Order with Sprint Labs, and Sprint Labs engages the content writer as an independent contractor. We handle contracts, fees and payments, engagement support and one monthly invoice. You direct the work day-to-day exactly as you would an in-house hire.

How long does it take to hire a content writer through Sprint Labs?

Most briefs produce a named, vetted shortlist within 5–10 business days. From there you interview, choose, and we handle the offer, contract and onboarding — typical brief-to-start is three to five weeks depending on the candidate's notice period.

What happens if the hire is not the right fit?

Tell us within the first 30 days and we replace them at our cost. After that, engagements carry a 60-day cancellation notice, which protects the contractor and gives you time to hand over work, but if you want to swap rather than offboard, we run a replacement search in parallel at no additional recruitment cost.

Is AI training included with this placement?

Yes. Once your team member starts, they can enrol in role-specific AI training with no additional training fee. You choose when they enrol, and the self-paced modules run during their normal working hours.

Can the training align with our tools and AI policies?

Yes. The course teaches general skills on practice material, and how your team member applies them depends on the tools, access and AI policy your business approves. If certain work must stay AI-free, they follow your rules. Third-party software subscriptions aren't included and are agreed during onboarding.
